Dr. J. Alex Martinez
Dr. J. Alex MartinezM.D.
Please join us in welcoming our new physician, Dr. J. Alex Martinez, to Hill Country Allergy & Asthma. Dr. Martinez will be joining the practice in September and will begin seeing new and existing patients at our Marble Falls, Westlake, and Leander clinics at that time.

Dr. J. Alex Martinez has been an allergist for the past 20 plus years, and while he’ll be a new addition to Hill Country Allergy & Asthma, he is not new to Austin. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his medical degree from the University of Kansas.

After finishing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University Health Science Center in San Antonio, Dr. Martinez completed a fellowship in Allergy at the University of Kansas before making his home in Austin. He was in private practice here for many years but more recently has been a staff allergist at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Killeen caring for active duty soldiers and their families. He is enthusiastic to be back in the Austin area where he can hike and bike on the many trails and attend a variety of live entertainment venues. You may also see him about sampling many of the eateries that the area has to offer. Dr. Martinez also enjoys spending time with family and friends near and far.
