Dr. Alison Humphrey was born and raised outside of Fort Worth, Texas and received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, graduating with the honors of summa cum laude. She then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She and her husband completed their medical residencies in Kansas City, where she trained in Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital, affiliated with University of Missouri Kansas City. Dr. Humphrey then completed an Allergy/Immunology fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Truman Medical Center. Her primary research efforts focused on pediatric food allergy.
Dr. Humphrey is trained to evaluate and treat both adult and pediatric patients. Prior to moving home to Texas, she practiced Allergy/Immunology outside of Chicago, Illinois, while her husband completed his subspecialty training. In her free time, she enjoys sailing, live music, playing the fiddle, and outdoor fitness.
Dr. Humphrey is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She maintains membership within the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Humphrey enjoys seeing patients of all ages and treating a wide variety of conditions related to allergy, asthma, and immunologic disorders. She endorses patient education and advocacy as the key to personalized disease management.
